Las Terrenas, August 25 ( José Bourget ) .- Students of Las Terrenas and surrounding areas celebrated the successful implementation of various development courses professional in the areas of hotel receptionist (10 students), office manager package (50 students), English (20 students) and crafts in general (22 students).
The event was the presence of Mr. Melanio Paredes , director general of the National Training Institute (INFOTEP), the provincial governor Dr. Elsa de León, Senator Dr . Prim Pujals , Deputy Mr. Jose Acevedo, the trustee José Alexis Martinez, the vicesíndica Ivelisse de León, the national director Col. Pablo Lugo POLITUR and was headed by Mr. Luis Simó , tourism undersecretary for international affairs.
Izqierda, Billy Joel Alvarez receives congratulations from Mrs. Mary Arsenio de Jesus, after receiving $ 5.000 from the Cocoa Beach Hotel as a reward for obtaining the highest marks of the course on hotel receptionist. Jeffrey Hernandez received second prize and Yirelbi D'Aza for third place. Eighteen people graduated from that course, 50 as package managers, 20 in English and 22 in crafts. The event was a joint effort the Commission on Security and Sustainable Tourism Development Ministry of Tourism, the National Institute of Technical and Vocational Training and Monitoring Committee of the Strategic Tourism Development Plan of Mary composed Terrenas drull , Dionisio Martínez , Arsenio de Jesus Maria , Luis Moses Vanderhorst, Melanio Rivera, Juana Mars, José Bourget (coordinator) and ex-officio members José Alexis Martinez (administrator in Las Terrenas) and Braulio Vásquez ( tourist office).

During the closing ceremony spoke of Mrs. Mary Drullard , municipal charge in the Ministry of Women who gave the welcome address, Dr. Jose Bourget , executive director of the Mahatma Gandhi Foundation who gave an exhortation, Mr. Luis Simó who spoke about the general ideas and strategic plan for the comprehensive development of tourism in Las Terrenas and Mr. Melanio Paredes who provided the central message of the event. Upon completion, students Rogelio Vasquez and Juana Antonia Martínez thanked the sponsors for the opportunities offered through the courses.

The Mr. Jochy Pimentel Hotel Cocoa Beach won $ 10,000.00 to be divided among the three students most noticeable course hotel receptionist, was awarded first Billy Joel Alvarez ($ 5,000), Jeffrey Hernández Pérez ($ 3,000) and D'Aza Yirelbi Cross ($ 2,000). The Cocoa Beach Hotel was also the largest host to visitors government who visited the community during these events.
The event sponsors also announced the continuation of courses in the immediate future, including areas related to airport operations to be opened soon in El Catey. It is expected that these activities and those planned for the future will improve the quality of life among young people and adults in the community who have desire to excel and work. Other community initiatives are also sponsored by INDOTEL (Computer Training Centres), the secretary of state for education (literacy programs), the IDECOOP (promoting the cooperative), the environmental health sub secretary of state for public health (surveys, vaccination and training of street vendors) and others in the process of consultation and planning.
